Leica TruView 3D is a plugin for Internet Explorer that allows you to view scan data over the web. A sample TruView window is displayed below.

Leica TruView allows you to easily view and measure laser scan point clouds regardless of your laser scanning, CAD, or 3D experience. WIth point cloud data generated by Leica Cyclone PUBLISHER, anyone with Internet Explorer can download and install Leica TruView, and review the published data either over the web or through local files, a CD, or an FTP site.

The ability to access the scan data via the web provides immediate access to the data anywhere in the world. Leica TruView will read point cloud data published from Leica HDS scanners, or other scanner with ASCII-based output.

The publishing of the scan point cloud data is beyond the scope of this course.
